Function
Conductivity: As a transmission channel for welding current, it conducts the current from the welding power supply to components such as the conductive nozzle at the front end of the welding gun, generating an arc between the welding wire and the workpiece to achieve the welding process.
Wire Feeding: Provides a guiding channel for the welding wire, ensuring that the welding wire can be accurately and smoothly delivered from the wire feeding mechanism to the welding area, ensuring the stability and continuity of the welding.
Shielding Gas Delivery: In gas shielded welding, the gun barrel is the delivery channel for the shielding gas, allowing the shielding gas to be evenly sprayed to form a protective layer in the welding area, preventing oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, etc. in the air from having a harmful effect on the molten droplets and molten pool metal, thus obtaining good welding quality.

Structure
Straight Tube Type: Simple structure, suitable for welding scenarios with low requirements for gun barrel bending, such as flat welding and fillet welding, often used in small welding equipment or fixed-position welding work.
Bent Tube Type: Such as gooseneck gun barrels, it has a certain bending angle, can flexibly reach narrow spaces or hard-to-reach areas for welding, suitable for welding workpieces with complex shapes and compact spaces.
Adjustable Type: The bending degree or length of the gun barrel can be adjusted according to welding needs, increasing the applicability and flexibility of the welding gun, and better meeting the requirements of different welding tasks.
Material
Copper and Copper Alloys: They have good conductivity and thermal conductivity, and can effectively transmit current and dissipate heat. Commonly used ones include pure copper and brass. Pure copper has better conductivity and thermal conductivity, suitable for high-current welding; brass has better strength and corrosion resistance, and is often used for gun barrels with certain strength requirements.
Stainless Steel: It has high strength, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature resistance, and can maintain good performance in harsh welding environments, is not easy to rust or deform, and is suitable for occasions with high requirements for gun barrel quality and life, such as stainless steel welding equipment.
Manufacturing Process
Drawing Process: The metal material is drawn into the required diameter and length through a drawing machine, and special structures such as spiral ventilation grooves can be made on the inner wall of the gun barrel to meet the requirements of gas flow and heat dissipation.
Bending Process: For bent gun barrels, bending processes are needed to bend the straight tube into the required angle and shape. Common bending methods include hot bending and cold bending. Hot bending is suitable for materials with higher hardness, while cold bending is suitable for softer materials or occasions with higher precision requirements.
Welding Process: The connection between the gun barrel and other components (such as the gun body, nozzle, and conductive nozzle) usually uses welding processes, such as brazing and resistance welding. Brazing can form a firm connection between the two components, while reducing resistance and improving heat dissipation speed; resistance welding has the advantages of fast welding speed and low cost.
